A website devoted to the Howard Clarke & Fannie Jones Glover descendents. If you are too young to remember the family pictures then you owe it to yourself to browse them. The family has grown so much that it is difficult to keep up with everyone. Let's not lose touch with our roots!

Aunt Margaret is a real party Animal!
Three in a row.
Aunt Margaret's pre-100th birthday party

Several ladies from Central Baptist "kidnapped" Aunt Margaret and treated her to one of her favorite meals - Pizza!  She  celebrated turning 100 on December 30th 2010.

Then her 100th birthday party

Left to Right: Bill, Harriett, Howard and John. The party was held at family favorite - Sprayberry's BBQ - seems we had close to 30 brother, cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces... in attendance.

And Finally, the Church Choir celebrates her many years in the Choir - along with "Pie" Burson and Bill Williams.

Happy 100th Birthday!
Wednesday December 17th Uncle Howard Celebrated his 100th birthday at the Newnan Country Club with friends and family. Here are a few pictures of this memorable event.

Clifford Banks Glover Jr.
Died June 18, 2007, at his residence.

Cousin Cliff blessed us all by recording many stories of his growing up. Read a great article which recalls the richness of a younger day.

2007 Family Reunion
Was held Saturday May 26th at Brad and Laura (Glover) Thatcher's Horse Farm.
We had a great turnout. The reunion was catered by Newnan's Sprayberry's BBQ and entertainment was provided by Nashville's Country Duo - The Wrights (Adam and Shannon) Adam Wright is a Newnan native (and nephew to Banks and Carol Glover as well as nephew to country superstar Alan Jackson) and his wife Shannon hails from LaGrange. We were treated to several songs from our own Carl Boone and later the entire Boone family.
Caroline (Boone) Alford did a phenominal job of planning this event. She also provided the latest family geneological updates. Great job Caroline!
Key Birthdays - Uncle Howard Glover is 98 and will turn 99 in December. Uncle Cliff Glover just turned 94 in May and Aunt Winnie (Glover - Boone) Klein and Cousin Ann (Glover) Parrot will turn 90 in November. The amazing thing is that all of these came to the party. Uncle Cliff was his usual form on the dancefloor.

Congratulations to Bob Boone

Bob recently earned the title of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  It is a credential he has worked on for several years and finally completed. Fewer than 15 % of Healthcare Executives earn this credential. He was awarded the title in New Orleans on March 18 2007 at the annual ACHE Congress meeting.

Bob Boone's daughter Callie was recently written up for a wonderful gift of generosity she initiated for the troups down in the Gulf.... read this article

Major (Howard Boone) was recently ordained as a Ruling Elder in his Church... here is the article as printed on March 20th in the Newnan Times Herald.

Welcome to NICKY!

Nicky is the most recent marriage addition to the Glover clan. Uncle Cliff and Nicky were married on October 2nd in West Point....

If you missed the wedding you missed a gala celebration. Fortunately Brad Thatcher (son-in-law to Cliff), Caroline Boone Alford and Susan Glover Logan got some great pictures.

The reception was held at Homewoods. For those younger folks, this was the original palacial estate of Uncle Ed and Aunt Virginia Glover Cook (later Graham after Uncle Ed died). The estate was subsequetly isolated by the building of West Point Lake and was taken over by the Corps of Engineers. Fortunately it was recently purchased by a private party who has worked hard with the family to return the home to it's original state. This place holds some very dear memories for those of us in our 50's and 60's.

Enjoy these pictures!

All the pictures are in... some 435 of them!

To all:
We are excited to announce that our 4th baby is on his/her way due January 3, 2004!  The first trimester, which is about over, was the toughest yet for Hannah, but she is doing better now.  We covet your prayers on the safety of development and delivery for both Hannah and the baby.
Thank you!
Love,
The Kennedys
David, Hannah, Grace, Heidi, & Hope

May 24, 2003 - Family Reunion
If you didn't make it, you missed a wonderful time. I don't have the exact count, but I would estimate at least 150 family members showed up at Laura and Brad's picturesque horse farm, complete with horses and a bluegrass band. Caroline Boone Alford did a wonderful job on updating the family tree, getting the tee shirts and handling the preparation and logistics. Laura Glover Thatcher and husband Brad were the consummate hostess and host. The food was delicious and plentiful. Even more importantly to a clan such as ours, the libations were cornicopious. We honored the three remaining siblings.

2002 - HOMEWOODS restoration: Jack McGraw, formerly of Newnan, has purchased Aunt Jenny's old homestead from the US Corps of Engineers and is in the process of restoring it to it's original splendor. He has recently restored the beautiful ceilings and the plaster molding throughout. Edmund has volunteered the original blueprints, and Susan has begun talking with them about her recollections of the colors, location of furniture, mirrors, etc. If anyone would like to tour the place or to assist in this restoration by providing memories, please let me know and I will have Jack contact you.
